Ben Gordon is owned by no one but myself. He is an original character created by me to play in roleplaying games. Joseph Gordon-Levitt owns himself.

Born to a crazy-ass family, Ben had to deal with seriously psychotic relatives before he was 13. At 13, he fled home, and with the help of a local detective, he shut them down before they could sacrifice the town in the name of personal power. Most of the family was killed, and Ben nearly died of a heart attack caused by the weird shit going on.

He recovered, the detective got custody of him, became a federal agent, and raised him to respect others and try to help them when he could. He went on to become a medical student, entering training at 16. Skilled in helping others, he went on to add massage and physical therapy to his knowledge and skills, in time to participate in a new case his 'dad' was investigating, involving an arson case. During it, his dad was seriously burned, and for the first time, Ben found himself manifesting a superhuman ability. He could heal. Healing the burning in his dad almost killed him when he tried it the first time, but when he started small and went slow, he found he could heal a very little at a time, and grew stronger each time. The power doesn't work on long term illnesses, or ailments that are too strong, but he found he could heal the little things, aches, pains, and sorenesses, easily, over and over.

Going into human services, and hiding his secret, he is a registered nurse with massage and physical therapist training. He likes helping people. He often performs as a live-in nurse or caretaker, for he finds this allows him to help people. All he wants is to make people better.

And occasionally, he gets involved in yet another of his dad's cases.
